Survival,
at any cost.

The Iron Covenant do not wage war for territory, tribute, or glory. Every conquered system is another chance to outlive the sun that made them.

02 · The extinction clock

Their star
is collapsing.

The true bodies of the Covenant remain sealed within immense neural sanctums, fed by the power of their home star. From these chambers, their minds cross interstellar distances and awaken inside machines built to fight, fall, and be replaced.

But the star that sustains the network is failing. The Covenant must seed new sanctums beyond their origin system before the last projection goes dark.

The Covenant now live across an asteroid belt beneath that dying star. Their sanctums and war forges are distributed through the rock—a scattered homeland built from metal, machinery, and the narrow time that remains.

03 · Architecture of survival

The neural
sanctum.

Fortress, life-support system, and spiritual center: each sanctum anchors millions of minds to the Covenant’s projection lattice.

Disposable bodies.
Irreplaceable time.

Covenant vessels favor overwhelming forward pressure. Reduced hull tolerances are accepted as a rational exchange for destructive output and rapid territorial gain.

Before the
war took shape.

The Iron Covenant biome began on paper: a fortress carved into a hostile rock, connected to the war by a narrow hex-grid threshold. These studies preserve the path from the first spatial idea to the coded environment.

Earlier system studies

Before the fortress,
there was the map.

These first studies established the Covenant’s place in the galaxy, the shape of its biome, and the interface through which the player would command it.
